What was permitted
A temporary stage, known as the Chinatown Stage, is being erected at 2200 S Wentworth Ave in Chicago's Armour Square neighborhood. This new construction permit is for a mobile stage setup that will be in place for a short duration.
The permit was issued on July 20, 2026, with a reported cost of $3,000 for the two-day setup and takedown. Chicago Special Events Management is overseeing this temporary structure.
