What was permitted
Homeowners in the Eastchester-Edenwald-Baychester neighborhood can see the significant investment involved in upgrading a building's hot water system. This project at 1183 226 Drive involves removing an existing steam-supplied system and installing a new direct natural gas-fired water heating system, including new piping in the cellar.
This substantial plumbing project was issued a permit on May 7, 2026, with an estimated cost of $400,000. HAY MECHANICAL SOLUTIONS (P) is the contractor handling this extensive work, which does not alter the building's use, occupancy, or egress.
